We are currently recruiting for Agro- forestry and bio-energy company based in South East Asia.

Finance Manager
(Bali)

Responsibilities:

* Primary responsibility will be to support the General Manager, Indonesia in achieving the objectives of the Company through the management and development of all aspects of the company’s financial systems and controls.


* Responsibilities will include:


* Financial Management
o Preparing monthly management accounts including narrative reports on budget variances
o Management of company finances through the preparation of cash flow forecasts following liaison with staff at all levels and locations
o Provide Directors/Senior Managers with answers to ad hoc requests for financial analysis
o Preparation of reports on behalf of the General Manager requested at the Global level
o Review and arrange insurances, including assets, travel, employees etc
o Development, implementation and operation of systems to ensure integrity of accounting information and safe custody of assets, including procedures to detect and eliminate fraud or theft of company assets
o Day to day management of accounts staff, including recruitment, located at a number of sites throughout Indonesia
o Preparation of detailed financial estimates, budgets and cash flow forecasts, working closely with other staff.
o Support General Manager in recording and control of all planting and maintenance projects and assisting where necessary in ensuring planned performance is delivered
o Management of company bank accounts in conjunction with General Manager, including the conversion of funds from USD to Rupiah and managing daily receipts and payments


* Accounting Records and Procedures
o Supervision of all records of prime entry and postings to accounting records
o Maintenance of asset registers
o Defining and ensuring that the company operates expenditure authorisation procedures (including expenses reimbursement)
o Completion of regular bank reconciliations, checking all control accounts
o Supervision of payroll, payroll returns and payment of payroll liabilities
o Completion of all company filing requirements (tax, payroll etc)
o Preparation of annual accounts and supporting file for auditors and ensuring the smooth completion thereof
o Assist General Manager with effective communication of financial performance to stakeholders making best use of information technology
o Preparation and filing of all Annual and other Government returns


* Corporate Compliance
o Familiarity with relevant rules and regulations (current and developing) relating to our activities within Indonesia, thereby enabling the General Manager to ensure our Indonesian entities are fully compliant

Requirements:

* Ideally of Indonesian nationality
* Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
* Essential to have a working knowledge of accounting, corporate legal requirements and information technology (spreadsheets, Word and accounting packages).
* Whilst an appropriate, recognised accounting qualification would be preferred, practical experience is essential which would include managing systems and internal controls (including implementation), staff and the finances of a medium sized business ideally in a multi-location forestry and/or processing industry.
* Proven ability to effectively lead and direct a team operating from a number of locations
* Given the experience required and nature of the role it is likely that the candidate will be of a more mature status and already be living in the Bali area
